Trends…trends…trends? I still don’t know how something can become a trend. Everytime this process happen I always ask to myself :”What sorcery is this!?”, how come that all of a sudden everyone is talking about it? Well, all I can say is that if you want to “discover” new trends you just need to have a look around you and follow your feelings.
The new Season is about to start and we think we may have guessed at least a couple of products that could be excellent candidates to be new hitting trends, or at least they are interesting enough to keep the attention on them for a long while.
Check it out and let us know what do you think!

Yves Saint Laurent. It is been already a cult classic for a while and this one seems another lucky season for the Arty gold-pleated ring of YSL. How to recognize a trend? When imitations of it are sold in the weekend’s markets…and some of them are really good though! (ssshh…Sunday Up Market)

Prada Women/Men. They may appear a little bit…clownish, but the new extravagant shoes of the Italian brand have something fascinating. Don’t like them? Let’s resume the conversation about it in three months!

Prada/Miu Miu patters. Who said that the 70’s and Glam Rock were gone? Colour block, geometric patters, “sparkling” colour combination. In the House of Prada they still love Willy Wonka too, and we are glad of it!

Alexander Wang. Also Wang’s Rocco and Rickie Dumbo bowling studded bags have already been hitting the trends for a while and still, and more than ever, they are on top in the book of the most wanted.

Flatform shoes/Clogs. It is been a while since the so 90’s flatform and wedge shoes have been the most wanted shoes in the High Street after Prada launched their own version of wedge brouges for the SS 2011 collection, but for clogs it seems the beginning of a lucky season. Important note: clogs are more interesting with the rounded small studs around the sole! (From the left edge: classic creepers, House of Holland for Superga, Asos, Office shoes, F-Troupe, Swedish Has Beens, Funkis 991, Rieke Nen).

Balenciaga by Nicolas Ghesquiere. “Egyptofunk” is the name of the collection. From the number of the photoshootings you can find in the next month’s magazines in which you can see the “Glitter Girl” top, you may have a more clear  idea of what and where this collection will may be in a couple of months. Check at the above-mentioned imitations. And what can I say? If we can have back the Glam Rock, a hint of glittery 80’s do not kill!

Topshop Unique. The military style is going to be pretty popular this winter and rumors say that Topshop Unique AW 2012 is the official author of this style: soldier oversized jackets, army boots, the inevitable cross patterns and a touch of 90’s. Get ready!

Pleated skirt. My advice? Keep an eye to the 3/4 lenght pleated skirt. This item is popping up on the High Street ever more often and seems to be well accepted. Let’s give it some time..it could be a nice surprise. The one from Zara is, at the moment, my favourite.

Pencil skirt. And then another skirt. According with the spreading 90’s wave, the pencil skirt is no longer the skirt for the “office uniform” only. The longer, the better, the black jersey pencil skirt from Topshop is currently the best choice..and this is the reason why I will have it very soon!

Hello September!!
