As first movie of 2013 I have chosen one of the latest movies of 2012: Moonrise Kingdom (by Wes Anderson – USA 2012 – with Jared Gilman, Kara Hayward, Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, Bob Balaban).
Here the feedback: one word for Moonrise Kingdom? STUNNING! 94 minutes of breathtaking images, accompanied by a soundtrack full of personality.
I fell in love with all the characters and the outfits that mark each one of them. I would watch this movie over and over again.
Suzy and Sam are absolutely the type of kids that everyone, in some way, at the end, would like to be, but my favourite character is the unusual and outsider/narrator of the story interpreted by Bob Balaban.
Here the uniform becomes a proper style…a great way to wear it as an everyday outfit. A little bit eccentric, maybe…but we like to be noticed!
We love this hipster movie of 2012! A New Year’s resolution: be more “Moonrise Kingdom”!
