Let me be completely honest: this is not exactly the kind of movie that I would love unconditionally. The whole story is filled with bad people who generally live a sad life, involving into this life also the young protagonist, 13-year-old Luli (Chloe Moretz), who lives in a small and dusty town in North Carolina with her alcoholic parents. She eventually runs away from them, attempting to go to Las Vegas, meeting in her way even worse people, like Eddie, the charming cowboy with a very dark side. But, if I am still not sure of what to think about the script, I am definitely certain in saying that Chloe Moretz and Eddie Redmayne did a great job as actors, that the way the camera captures images is amazing and, last but not least, that I love Luli’s outfits. In spite of the fact that probably the story could have been developed in a better way, I see style in this movie! Give it a try, but read the book first.
